A Poet and an Artist

how many shades of grey in a poets eye
does an artist call to her own pearl
a simple stroll hand in hand by and by
the colors of the rainbow set unfurl
the first infantry of stars glow alight
speaking of sun rises as the night-time eases
the sensation of thought and touch is quite
the fullfillment of all of which is that pleases
a bed of leaves along a lovers pond
the russle of breath in the cool night air
a velvet sweat caresses the embracing bond
as two alone together become a pair
the dawn is singing a song of rejoice
as a poet and an artist find their voice
