Author: Ritt

Visions

she sees the world through laughing eyes
that are not consumed with trivialities
mundane affections are easily disposed
as if a rainbow had to be taught to color
she sighs like an hour glass
and wonders when and if the little joke
that she shares will be tendered to in the
playful friendly way intended by her wistful
whispering soul
undaunted by overtures of
kindly expectations
she forsees patterns of
beautiful relationships
not structured or bound
by inane stereotypical statutes
borne out of distress
and distasteful compliance
associated with repressed platitudes
she agrees to love
if only you easily comprehend
her visions
